SQNCR is a step-sequencer program built in Max. It features six channels dedicated to sequencing samples and three for sequencing MIDI.
In the modules for each step, the user can fiddle with various components: toggle the step on/off, adjust gain using volume “knob,” delay the step using a slider, toggle a delay effect adjusted to the delay slider value, toggle the original step added to the delayed step, and toggle a third step after the delayed step, adjusted to the same timing (mainly for creating triplets).
The hiccups heard in the demo video are my CPU struggling with the workload of running the Max patch and recording the screen, but otherwise it’s a decently working program! I created a quick beat for the demo, but it also works well for weird, experimental sound collage-type projects.
